Simplicity before the doors close for the night (under construction)

Let us start out with a basic truth - for those entering the field, the job market has been deplorable for a while. I bring this up, not because we're going to dwell on this in the group (at least, I hope we won't), but to get a little reality into a discussion that tends to keep happening, before it has a chance to happen here.

The Internet is a funny place. Everything seems to be offensive to some, except that which really is offensive, and baiting of the poor, disadvantaged and outright abandoned members of our society seems to be in style. Some will write of paid trolls, and maybe that is who we are hearing from (or maybe it is not), but before a word is said, I'll spell this out. If I find myself needing to ask the English major sitting next to me for a nice way to say "douchebag", I am going to eject the offending party, post haste. Yes, I will "censor" what he has to say and send him on his way. No, this is not a violation of the first amendment. No, I'm not going to debate the point.

Some will try to make this be about something other than what it is. To be perfectly forthcoming, yes, by present day standards, I do tend to be far to the left of center (and I'm having trouble processing that, to say the least),
